Welcome to Slazenger Cricket Products 2006 has been another memorable year for Slazenger. The cosmetics and simplification of the range launched in 2006 was well received by retailers, professional players and consumers, and with further developments in the range to offer and deliver unrivalled performance on the field, 2007 promises to be just as exciting.
As innovators in the field, Slazenger has invested heavily in the new range with only premium materials being used throughout to build upon the crafted range to enhance the look and feel.
Last season the SX Elite Pro bat was rated Top Bat Overall by All Out Cricket's Gear Test who commented "the black stickering and flared bow of this superbly balanced bat ticked all of the performance, looks and pick-up boxes". The new range for this season continues with Slazenger's bat strategy of three clear distinct profiles which have been hand-crafted to deliver super pick-up and balance , both of which guarantee to get the retailer and cricketer excited.
There is a striking new legguard range which has a contemporary look but offers enhanced performance and a new protection range in wicket keeping. Last season Wisden Cricketer said: "arguably the best wicket keeping glove over the last few years" and that Slazenger's pads "are up there with the best". The new range promises to remain true to Slazenger's reputation for being the best.
But Slazenger's commitment to the game doesn't end with the range. We have reinvented in Team Slazenger, our stable of players with the resigning of Jacques Kallis and new signings with Ian Bell and Liam Plunkett who are achieving their ambition and playing for England, as well as strong representation at England Junior level.
The future of cricket also looks brighter with Slazenger becoming the second commercial partner to join the "Chance to Shine" campaign, a charity to promote cricket in schools. Slazenger is also the official supplier of equipment to the 100 clubs and 450 primary schools in the scheme. Slazenger also continues with its partnership of the Bunburry Cricket Festival that delivers England's U15 cricketers and remains a partner of the Professional Cricket Association and the official partner of the PCA in the community project.
