The starting point for the Pod 1 Grade One glove was a curve, the curve that the hand naturally makes when gripping a bat handle, so the protective segments all work together to create that pre-curved shape which is central to a very well protected but enormously comfortable glove. The pre-shaped, fibre backed plastazote segments have reinforced leading fingers whilst the Pittard palm, mesh thumb gusset, padded palm panel and softbac on the inside of the back of the hand all give the most flexibility and comfort available in a batting glove. The new and unique stitch-embossing on the top of the glove follows the line of the glove's flex and creates a modern luxury look: detail and texture with highlight metallic
Radiating from a pentagonal central section, the combination of diagonal and V joints give the Pod 2 range of gloves absolute flexibility. The uniquely shaped crown section against the wristband tapers back and also curves into the wristband for improved wrist movement and minimal obstruction during play. Protection is concentrated in vulnerable areas and minimized to avoid bulk and obstruction where the hand is least likely to be exposed. These are very light gloves. Featuring preshaped plastazote fingers, leather palm, mesh gussets, plastic/high density moulded/reinforced chambers on the front two fingers and softbac on the back of the hand
Following the Pod 2 Grade One glove, but with flat plastazote foam fingers and two reinforced chambers on the leading fingers. Leather palm and softbac on the back of the hand. Physically very light and flexible with all the styling of the Grade One gloves.
The Pod 2 design in miniature a dedicated junior glove which is loaded with protection with fibre insets on leading fingers, soft bac lined for comfort and stitch embossed on the back of the hand.
