It’s the moment you budding cricketers have been waiting for! Hunt for a Rising Superstar is back with a bang, as Cricket Direct re-launches its quest to find the very best young, cricketing talent from across the globe. We are searching for five exceptional young cricketers, aged between 10 and 16, to take advantage of this amazing opportunity to win full cricket kit sponsorship from one of the most famous brands in the game. Sounds awesome, right?
The first edition of Hunt for a Rising Superstar, a concept born in 2013, was a brilliant success, with many hundreds of applications from all over the world. Are you a century-making wonderkid who regularly outscores your peers? Does your cricket club possess a budding bowler who frequently proves too menacing for your opponents? Do you have a son or daughter who is excelling on the cricket field and would like support in helping them realise their dream of becoming a pro? If so, don’t miss out on this incredible competition. We want as many talented young cricketers as possible to have a chance of winning this exceptional, unique opportunity; thus
we will accept applications until midnight on
15 April 2016.
The five starlets who best fit our superstar criteria will get a complete cricketing makeover by one of the foremost cricket brands with pro-quality goods from their 2016 range. Kitting people up with outstanding cricket gear is our forte and our mission to identify and support a number of young cricketers is one that excites us a great deal. The cricket gear manufacturers who will produce the goods are yet to be confirmed but rest-assured they will be high profile cricket brands; the inaugural competition had Gunn & Moore and Kookaburra among the list of endorsers.
To apply for this global competition, simply LIKE us on Facebook and enter via the Hunt for a Rising Superstar application on our page.
You will be asked to fill-in your personal contact details, the contact details of any schools or clubs, and a list of cricketing achievements that have been made prior to 01 November 2015.
When you send us your application, please note the cut-off date for your personal performances is 01 November 2015. So although our competition is officially open until 15 April 2016, there is no point delaying your application – so apply and state your credentials as soon as possible.
And, of course, rule number one is: be totally honest. When we select our shortlist of proposed winners, we will check with schools and cricket clubs to determine whether you have been truly honest when stating your cricketing achievements.
